I would suggest an iPhone. I have an iPhone 4 and my sister has a blackberry. To me, it is way easier to email and check facebook on the iPhone. Before I got it, I had an iPod touch. I ended up selling it because, just like you, I didn't want to carry around both it and my phone at once. Ever since I got this phone, I've loved it. Not one problem. With my sister's blackberry, some of the keys have stopped working. A Blackberry, to me, seems like the smartphone with the least quality of all. To answer the question about the apps, yes. You can only download apps from the Apple App Store. However, the App Store and the Marketplace basically have the same apps so you still can get the same ones as android. From personal experience with both an iPhone 4 and a blackberry side-to-side, the iPhone definately has way more advantages. I hope I could help;)
